Why do we need sponsors?

The Tropical Probabilistic AI School (TropAI) is an annual event serving state-of-the-art machine learning and artificial intelligence expertise with a probabilistic flavor. We bring together a diverse group of experts and enthusiasts (mostly PhD and MSc students) worldwide to teach, learn, and get inspired in Latin America summer. TropAI is organized by the Nordic Probabilistic AI School (ProbAI) team with an international reach and has received over 600 applications in 2023. The impact of school does not start only in the classroom but continues long after through the lecture recordings and accompanying materials shared with the public.

Sponsorships allow for a sustainable continuation of ProbAI. Furthermore, sponsorships help fund scholarships for students from under-represented and under-resourced communities. The organization is run as a non-profit under the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) umbrella and School of Applied Mathematics / Fundação Getúlio Vargas (EMAp / FGV).

Scholarships (≥ 7 500 BRL)

One scholarship can cover all expenses for a participant, i.e., registration fee, travel, accommodation, and food.
